The cheetah and wildlife centre lies nestled in the foothills of the
Magaliesberg mountains presenting the landscape of African savannah.
Rare wild animals are part of this landscape.
De Wildt is renowned for
its breeding success of rare endangered species, the very rare King
Cheetah was first bred here and similar success was achieved in
breeding the wild dog, brown hyena, blue duiker, suni antelope and
various species of vultures and owls. Visitors to the centre can see
these animals up close and learn interesting facts about their nature
and habitat when taking an open vehicle tour of the establishment. |
