Day 1 – Tuesday
Depart from Cape Town and head to the Karoo town of Oudshoorn for the first night's stay.

  • Ostrich farm
  • Dinner, bed and breakfast at the Riempies Estate Hotel in Oudshoorn (3 star)

Day 2 – Wednesday
Awake to the freshness of the Karoo . Today we explore Oudshoorn's finest sights before we set off to spend a night on the coast of Knysna

Today's most memorable features are:

  • Visit the Cango Caves
  • Cango wildlife ranch – see the crocodiles, cheetah, Bengal tigers, lions, jaguars and puma. (optional: opportunity to touch a cheetah)
  • Lunch in George
  • Steam train trip along one of the worlds most picturesque rail routes (train only operates 15 august to 15 may only.)
  • Dinner, bed and breakfast on the waters edge at the Knysna Quays Hotel (4 star)

Day 3 – Thursday
Spend some time in Knysna or take part in the morning excursion towards Tsitsikamma Forest – the choice is yours. We have an action packed day for you.

Today's most memorable features are:

  • Spend the morning at your own pace in the quaint village of Knysna or,
  • Morning excursion to the Garden of Eden & the Big tree ( optional: Knysna elephant Park – opportunity to touch an African Elephant)
  • Indigenous forests of the Garden Route
  • Lunch in Knysna
  • Cruise on the Knysna Lagoon. Sail into the Knysna Heads!
  • Coastal drive including the Wilderness on our way to George
  • Dinner, bed and breakfast at the King George Hotel (4 star)

Day 4 – Friday
We return to Cape Town via farmlands and the rolling hills of Swellendam after four fabulous days!

  • Mossel Bay – See the post office tree, where the early navigators left mail for home bound ships in Europe
  • Lunch in Swellendam
  • Hermanus – whale sightings possible July – Nov
  • Arrive in Cape Town
